Rulloff's Restaurant
American · 411 College Ave · Ithaca, NY
Average service during dinner, but bartenders were great once the scene turned more bar-ish.rnrnBefore 10, things are fairly restaurant-ish, but after 10, the place floods with undergrads, both the hot, and the not. If you're looking to be a sardine in a semi-attractive soup, downstairs at Rulloff's is the place
What We Had
Hot Chocolate (Beverage) — $2 — ★★★
The Four-Eleven (Entreé) — $7 — ★★
Overall, OK. The Four-eleven is a (cold) sandwich made of artichoke, red bell peppers, spinach leaves, and some sort of cream-cheese. The ingredients themselves were excellent, but left a little to be desired as a combination.
Side of French Fries (Appetizer) — $2 — ★★★★
Good portion of excellent, slightly spiced fries.
Southern Tier "Old Man" Winter Ale (Beer) — $4 — ★★★★
A bit light for my tastes, but overall a good beer. It has a mild, interesting flavor, and is a very solid-tasting ale.
Saranac Black Forest (Stout) (Beer) — $3 — ★★★
A smooth stout, with a sharp note at the end, but a bit watery after more robust beers.
